The Waterfall has always been one of our favourite restaurants. It was the very first place we visited on our first visit to Icmeler, and we have enjoyed the setting, very good food and wonderful service ever since.

Only went in once and in the comfy settee seats they had at the time my wife got lots of bites on her legs so its been off our list ever since.
Looks nice though.

I must admit I have never been there but it looks a lovely restaurant, I've always read good reviews about the food.

We must be in the minority. We tried it one year and were very underwhelmed by it. Full of biting insects, service was atrocious, food was not very generous, plus it was fairly bland and not very hot. And it was more expensive and not as good value as many others, i would say pretty much all places, apart from maybe 1 or 2 rank above it. It may have a nice setting but that would not entice me back.

It sounds like you must have been unlucky cmac and they must have had an off-day. We have been there a few times in the last seven years and have always been impressed with the quality of the food and the excellent service. Obviously when it is very busy, service can be a little bit slower, but that is the same in all restaurants. Regarding the insect bites, we have never experienced any problems when we go in May and September - however, I have occasionally wondered if there could be problems in the high season with the heat, and the area of water where the waterfall drops into. I have to agree that it is a little more expensive than some restaurants, but we have always thought it worth it.

Brian, you could be right, but my wife is very picky on these things and hard to convince to re-try if not impressed 1st time round. I even had trouble getting her to try Tipsi Burger after there was a black out in our 1st venture up, thankfully she came round and really enjoyed it, unsurprisingly. We may give it a try this year. It may be the reverse of the Florida, which we enjoyed immensely the 1st time, but not so much on subsequent visits.

Never been in it either, mainly because I refuse to give my custom to businesses which use animals to entice customers. Do they still have them now it is different management?

I agree with you on that Blondie - as animal lovers, we were not very happy with their little pet section. There were not any animals there last year because of the many complaints, and still none there in May this year when we visited. However, I have seen on one of the Facebook groups that they have now got some new animals in.
